New Junior Faculty Award Program
Deadline: Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 5:00pm
New Faculty awards assist beginning faculty who do not have summer salary or start-up funds to establish their research activities. The award provides up to $7,500 to support research expenses to all eligible faculty in their first year of appointment.

Summer Research Awards
Deadline: November 30, 2009 at 5:00pm
Each year the University awards approximately 20 grants of $4,500 each in support of summer research for faculty whose proposals are selected by the Faculty Research Committee through competitive review.

Summer Workshop in Proposal Development
The Office of Research and Faculty Development supports faculty in their efforts to secure external support for their research and other academic activities. As part of this endeavor, RFD offers a workshop in the development of research proposals and offers up to $1,000 research support for workshop participation.

Oregon Community Credit Union Research Fellowships
A reseach award program funded by the Vice President for Research and the generous support of Oregon Community Credit Union, to support non-curricular activities related to individual faculty research programs. The fellowship provides $10,000 to three faculty members each year. Applications are accepted from specific diciplines on a four year award cycle.

Travel Award Assistance
Faculty receiving travel awards from external sources may receive a modest supplement to help defray actual travel costs. Assistance is also available for other research-related travel. A letter detailing travel plans, the relationship of the trip to your current research, costs, and cost-sharing by other UO or external sources, and a copy of the award letter or invitation should be sent to RFD.
